Episode 16 - Ross Embleton Part Two “His Club”.
Ross had massive affiliation with Leyton Orient already, having played in the academy, leaving school and going to work in the community for the club, and running Ive Farm from the pitch to the supply of toilet roll!.
From starting with the u9’s and working his way through the academy before his career taking him elsewhere.
Part Two of this fascinating discussion with Ross hones in on his return to the football club following the buy out of the old regime and the new dawn.
We discuss that the reality of what had happened previously and the fact he was Martin Lings first part of the puzzle meant there was only 7 players registered which had just graduated from the youth team and no footballs.
We talk through how that first season optimism turned sour and the appointment of Justin Edinburgh.
We go through that promotion year and how pure ecstasy turned into sadness and how Ross stepped up for his mate and the football club he loves.
The next few seasons involved the difficulty of Covid and both his old role and again taking the managers job that in his heart of hearts didn’t really want.
Unbelievable detail, some funny stories, sad moments and some lovely reminiscing. Another superb discussion with Ross talking about his club.
I hope you enjoy the episode and if in doubt “Turn it round the corner”.

What a brilliant part 2, eagerly awaited and didn’t disappoint. You didn’t have to be an orient support to enjoy this. The JE coverage was perfectly done 👏🏻
